The sideboard is by far the best-selling USM Haller furniture item. No wonder - it fits into any room, offers plenty of storage space and looks incredibly good. But what variants are there? And how much does a USM Haller sideboard cost? Here's the complete overview.
An overview of the standard variants
USM Haller sideboards are based on the 75 cm grid system. This means: each compartment is 75 cm wide and 35 cm deep. The height varies depending on the number of levels. The most common configurations:
Lowboard (1 compartment high, approx. 39 cm)
Perfect as a TV board or under a window. With two or three compartments side by side (150 or 225 cm wide), it's the classic living room setup. Price for the original: from approx. €1,200 for a 2x1 configuration with drop-down doors.
Sideboard (2 compartments high, approx. 74 cm)
The all-rounder. Works in the hallway, living room, office - practically everywhere. The most popular configuration is 3x2 (225 × 74 cm). Original price: from approx. €2,800 depending on the equipment. In our gallery you will find many examples in different colours.
Highboard (3+ compartments high, from approx. 109 cm)
Less often called a sideboard, but technically it's simply a taller sideboard. From three compartments high, you should consider wall mounting - USM expressly recommends this from a height of 109 cm.
Drop-down doors, drawers or open?
Each compartment can be equipped differently:
Drop-down doors (fall-front or flip-up) are the classic. The original doors with the characteristic USM handle cost approx. €180-250 each. Pull-outs/drawers are practical for office and files, but cost significantly more (from approx. €350 per compartment). Open compartments are suitable for books, decoration or quick access.

A new USM Haller sideboard in the popular 3x2 configuration with drop-down doors quickly costs over €3,000. There are two alternatives: Buy used (saving 30-50%, pay attention to generation and condition) or use compatible parts from us. This allows you to build a visually identical sideboard for a fraction of the price.
Sideboard colours: What works?
According to various retailers, the three best-selling sideboard colours are: Pure white (RAL 9010), Anthracite grey (RAL 7016) and USM Yellow. Pure white and anthracite are safe choices that match any interior. Those who are brave opt for golden yellow or USM green - these are real eye-catchers that turn a sideboard from a functional piece of furniture into a design statement.
